American LCVP

Pretty pleased with these. Nice models and quick to paint.  I intend to use these as part of a Chain of Command D - Day scenario.

'Oh I do want to be beside the seaside......'

After a break of about 6 months or so, my WW2 obsession has resurfaced.  I've been playing Chain of Command, which is great (although I've yet to win, of course). I've painted a Panzergrenadier platoon and some American Airborne in 15mm, as well as resurrecting some terrain projects that have been on hold during my other obsession (40k). The terrain is mainly an unfeasible amount of bocage as well as this coastal tile, which had been unfinished for about 6 years. It's intended for Flames of War, although I'd like to give CoC a go with it too. Hopefully get a game in tomorrow; if so, I'll post up some pics of the whole board set-up.

Ultramar rides to war

Painted in a range of styles, as they've been painted at different times over the past three years or so. But quite pleased with them, and the cohesive basing helps tie them all together, I think.

Something small....

A bit of a break from making ZM tiles.  Painted ready for a tournament tomorrow.

WIP: Zone Mortalis progress shots

Had a bit more of a go at the ZM project.  Made some movable doors and almost finished two more tiles.  Some detailing and more stencilling yet to do, but pretty happy so far.

The might of Titan (aka "My holy passage?")

Finally got round to basing my Grey Knight army... which is almost entirely made up of Grey Knights! I'm such a hipster.....

I had fun with the metal effect on the Dreadknight weapons and having a go at some free-hand on the Land Raider. Just got to learn how to play the army now.

Latest project

Still on a 40k kick, and was taken with the idea of playing a few games of Zone Mortalis. Problem is, sufficient scenery from Forge World is £350. So of course I decided to make my own.  The two tiles shown are made from hardboard, 2 by 4 and cardboard. Each probably cost about £2 in materials and took about 1 1/2 hours to make. I'll get quicker as I go; I'll get plenty of practice as I want to make 16 of the things. ...
